A real-life example of this principle can be seen in the story of the McDonald brothers, the founders of the McDonald's restaurant. The brothers were successful in setting up a thriving small business, but they found it hard to expand their business beyond their local area. Despite their wish to grow, their leadership skills weren't enough to take their business to the next level. But when they sold their company to Ray Kroc, things changed dramatically. Kroc's leadership skills were far superior to that of the McDonald brothers. Within four years, he had expanded McDonald's to hundreds of locations. Four years later, the number of McDonald's restaurants had increased to 500. This rapid expansion was a direct result of Kroc's leadership skills. This example clearly shows the importance of leadership skills in achieving organizational success. It's not enough to be successful as an individual; to lead an organization effectively, one must also have strong leadership skills. To apply this principle in your own life, think about your long-term goals. Identify which of these goals will need the cooperation of others. For these goals, your leadership skills will be a key factor in your success. Therefore, it's crucial to continually work on improving your leadership skills.
